With England set to play the World Cup semi-finals following a nail-biting game against Norway on Sunday, the cameras have been noticing more than one star of the match – and she’s rather Posh. With close to three decades of WAG status under her belt, we take a look at how Victoria Beckham keeps in shape – from early morning cardio to weight training with David

From Colleen and Cheryl to Georgina and Antonela, the WAGS (Wives and Girlfriends) of football stars have always stayed trailblazers for living a life of glamour – and Victoria Beckham is no different. But since her first match appearance in 1997, and after celebrating 27 years of marriage to husband David Beckham earlier this month, her approach to health and beauty has started to changed.
“The great thing about getting older is you really care less about what other people think. I just want to be the best version of myself. I want to be healthy. I want to be fit. And that’s about it. I don’t get too caught up in it,” the fashion and beauty entrepreneur recently shared in The Beauty Desk podcast.
But how does the 52-year-old fashion mogul stay fit and healthy? Turns out it’s built around a tight routine of strength training, cardio, and mindset.
Victoria Beckham workout routine
“I don’t do anything differently now with regards to my workouts. In fact, I do more now than when I was 20 and 30,” she shared in the podcast. “Just because you get older, it doesn’t mean that you’re limited to what you can do. You can achieve great things. Just because you’re 50, that doesn’t mean that you have to compromise. You can still look good.”
Victoria’s daily routine starts early in the morning – and she runs a tight ship.
“This morning I was up at 06:15. Sometimes I do a little workout before I wake Harper up – this morning I did half an hour,” she added. “Then David will take her off to school, and I’ll go back in the gym. Then David will come and join me, and we’ll continue our workout together. We love to work out together.”
“I’m in the gym for half an hour, 45 minutes before he actually arrives. He comes in, he wants to chit-chat. I’m hardcore in the gym. He’s a part-timer, just ask the trainer,” she said to Alex Cooper during an episode of Call Her Daddy back in October.
Weight training
A recent session she shared on Instagram focused on pull-up negatives – an exercise that helps build the strength needed for pull-ups. By jumping up to the bar and then lowering herself slowly, Victoria works her back, arms and core.
“I’ve always been a bit scared of weights, but it turns out I love them,” she once told Grazia. “I’ve even got those special gloves to wear! It’s good to switch things up and keep your body guessing. I’ve got so much more muscle tone now.”
“David helped me do that. David changed my workout around. I was doing cardio, cardio, cardio. All I wanted to do was burn, burn, burn. He encouraged me to start weight training and we worked out together.”
Cardio
But the fashion designer doesn’t skimp on the cardio either. In her Netflix documentary back in September, Victoria shared that she does a “Stairmaster for half an hour” on her own before her personal trainer and David arrive.
“Then I do about an hour with them. It sets me up for the day. It’s that discipline, it’s what I do, and I like routine,” she said.
Recovery
Victoria also sees the importance in muscle recovery in between each session. On an Instagram story she posted back in 2023, she said, “Before and after every session, it’s key to mobilise and stretch. Recovery is as important as the workout itself!”
Mindset
But training isn’t just about her muscle toning and cardio sessions – Victoria also understands how important it is to train her mind.
“Looking great and feeling our best really does start with the fundamental basics,” she says. “Looking after yourself, making sure that you are drinking enough water, you’re sleeping enough, and working out and eating as healthily as you can. Those basic things are so important.”
